1. A high sanad: the honour of joining the highest and strongest connected chains, placing you among the great reciters of the world.

2. Mastering jam‘ and ifrād: gaining the precise skill to recite each reading separately (ifrād), or the high mental ability for “jam‘” (reading one verse with all the readers’ variants to shorten the khatmah without confusion).

3. Mastering uṣūl and farsh: full knowledge of each reader’s fixed phonetic and linguistic rules (uṣūl), and of the specific Quranic words in which they differ (farsh).

4. Command of taḥrīrāt and variants: knowing with great precision which variants are permitted and which are not, to avoid “tarkīb” – the impermissible mixing of narrations and routes.

5. Studying and applying the classical texts: linking practical recitation with memorizing and understanding the evidence verses of the core poems (al-Shatibiyyah, al-Durrah al-Mudiyah and Tayyibat al-Nashr).

📚 Program plan and ijazah tracks:

• Preparatory stage (sabr and assessment test):

  • Admission requires memorizing the whole Quran with full mastery, with a precise test by the academy’s sheikhs assessing articulation points and strength of memorization as a mandatory condition for entering the science of the Readings.

• Track one: the minor Ten Readings (via al-Shatibiyyah and al-Durrah)

  • The Seven: reading with the uṣūl and farsh of the seven imams via the poem “al-Shatibiyyah”.

  • The completing Three: completing the Ten with the readers of the poem “al-Durrah al-Mudiyah” (Abu Ja‘far, Ya‘qub and Khalaf al-‘Ashir) to complete the minor Ten Readings.

  • Training in teaching by “jam‘” and applying the evidence verses under direct supervision.

• Track two: the major Ten Readings (via Tayyibat al-Nashr)

  • The highest and most branched track for advanced students, based on the poem “Tayyibat al-Nashr” by Imam Ibn al-Jazari (may Allah have mercy on him).

  • This track brings together all the complex routes and variants, numbering more than 980 routes, and requires intensive checking to prevent overlap (tarkīb).

• Final stage (the Azhari crowning):

  • Completing the whole khatmah by jam‘ according to the chosen track, and receiving the “comprehensive ijazah certificate in the Ten Readings” recording the names of the readers and the academy’s connected chains.

  • The ijazah fee is set when you contact the academy.

1. Book the sabr session: the sheikh tests your memorization and recitation to decide whether you are ready to start the khatmah.
2. A plan that suits you: the sheikh or teacher sets the starting point, and you agree the times with the academy in your local time.
3. Live one-to-one lessons: a standard lesson lasts 30 minutes, and the number and length of lessons can be increased as you wish.
