Learn with Ijazah-holding Al-Azhar teachers. Your first 30-minute lesson is free.
Online Quran memorization in the UK with Al-Azhar Message Academy: live one-to-one lessons on Zoom or Google Meet with male and female Al-Azhar graduates who hold an ijazah with a connected sanad, after school or at the weekend, in UK time. The first lesson is free, and the subscription is $40 per month for 8 lessons.
Suitable for children who speak English
Most Arab and Muslim children in the UK speak English more fluently than Arabic. That is fine: explanations in the Noor Al-Bayan course and the qira’at courses can be in English, while reading and memorization stay in Arabic. Children who cannot read Arabic yet start with the Noorani Qaida / Noor Al-Bayan.
A practical alternative to weekend school
Weekend mosque schools are useful, but groups are often large and each child gets little recitation time. A one-to-one lesson gives your child the teacher’s full attention for the whole lesson, and it can complement the school or replace it.
- After school: a 30-minute lesson in the evening.
- Saturday and Sunday: morning or midday lessons.
- School holidays: a chance to add lessons or do intensive revision.

How to keep Arabic alive at home
- A short daily listen to a skilled recitation in the car or before bed.
- Simple Arabic words in everyday family talk, even a few.
- A small, clear goal: one short surah at a time, with encouragement when it is done.
These simple habits make the lesson easier for your child and speed up progress in pronunciation and memorization.
Lesson times in UK time
The UK switches between Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and British Summer Time (BST); your lesson time is agreed in your local time, so it is not affected when the clocks change.
Subscription and payment from the UK
The subscription is $40 per month for 8 one-to-one lessons; a standard lesson lasts 30 minutes, and you can increase the number and length of lessons as needed. The price is the same for children and adults, and payment is in US dollars by Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer or PayPal; your bank or PayPal converts the amount to pounds sterling at the day’s rate.
